Through Rose’s use of logos, we see that one person is loyal to his beliefs when he stands up against the majority. First when the initial vote starts off, there is some mixed responses with some of the jurors. Juror 8 starts responding to the other jurors mixed responses by saying,”I don’t believe it is as simple as A, B and C “(Rose 14). Rose is using logos in this quote because he does not send an innocent man away just yet. He does not think that this job will be an easy one, but he will do his best to get the other jurors to agree with him. Next, after the vote is taken and it is a 11 to 1 vote, #8 wants them to believe at the kid is innocent. Juror 8 states, “Nobody has to prove otherwise. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. The defendant doesn’t have to open his mouth. That’s in the Constitution. The Fifth Amendment. You’ve heard of it” (Rose 6). Rose is using logos in this quote because Juror 8 is using specific parts of the Fifth Amendment to get his point across
