The first ethnical issue is that a murder was committed from the order of a higher up rank, the platoon commander, in the Navy which the lower ranks, Harold Dawson and Lowden Downey, then must follow. However, it is not acceptable in a lot of eyes to take the life of someone for not getting along with a platoon. After the death of William Santiago, it must be decided in court who is guilty, the commander or Dawson and Downey. This turns into in to an ethical issue because the court then must choose who was wrong in the situation. The court first decides Downey and Dawson are guilty for not reporting the Code Red, ordered by the commander, to authorities at navy Jag Corp.
