Ethical theories used in the nursing field
Introduction
Nursing ethics it’s a branch of applied ethics that focuses with activities in the nursing field.
Nursing ethics shares some principles with the medical ethical such as respect for anatomy, non-maleficence and beneficence. Nursing draws from many ethical theories including: virtue ethics, ethic of caring, utilitarianism
Utilitarianism
It aims at achieving the greatest good for the greatest number of people. It also focuses more on the heath of a person rather than the rights of an individual.
